Pub group gets green light for seafront inn
Hospitality and leisure company The Inn Collection Group has been given the green light for the development of a site on Sunderland’s seafront.Based in Seaburn, the development will be designed with 40 bedrooms across three floors, while also providing a bar and eatery area.The scheme, which has been approved by Sunderland City Council’s planning committee, is part of a £1.5bn city-wide investment programme that will see the seaside, city centre and residential areas of Sunderland receive council-driven development projects.The group, which is opening a new 30-bedroom pub with rooms in Cumbria later this month, expects to more than double its ten-strong portfolio of pubs with rooms by 2022.
