Such research should help inform the delivery and implementation of current or future public health interventions intended to improve the health of the public and reduce inequalities in health. In 2020, the PHR Programme contributed to this ambition by launching a new scheme which commissioned four Public Health Intervention Responsive Studies Teams (PHIRST). Due to the success of the scheme, PHR are now commissioning a fifth team.The purpose of this call for expressions of interest is to identify one new PHIRST to join the existing four.
