Raeburn awarded £1.8m contract for A83 ground investigation work
RAEBURN Drilling & Geotechnical has landed a £1.8 million contract to carry out preliminary ground investigations as part of the design work to identify a preferred route option for the long term solution for the A83 at the Rest and Be Thankful.Transport Scotland revealed the investigations are expected to begin next month, with the contract expected to last 8-10 weeks.The costs are said to reflect both the ‘challenging landscape’ presented at the route and the ‘range and nature’ of the options under consideration.
