Plans to redevelop a 8.5-acre site to the south of Reading – which was once used as part of Berkshire Brewery – into a industrial scheme look set to take a step forward.Arlington LP UK is behind the proposals for the land close to junction 11 of the A33.Under the plans, the scheme would provide more than 162,000 sq ft of space over four buildings, with associated external yards, car and cycle parking, and landscaping. The application is recommended for the green light ahead of a Reading Council planning meeting next week (2 December 2020), subject to the completion of a section 106 agreement, which will support transport as well as training, employment and skills. In 2002, plans for an office scheme on the site were granted permission.
