Refurb Underway at City Centre Office Building
Work has started on the £5.5m refurbishment of the former St Phillips Point office building in Birmingham city centre.Owner Oval Real Estate is transforming the building into 65,000 sq ft of refurbished grade A workspace, with flexible floorplates from 1,849 sq ft to 14,662 sq ft over ten floors.As well as newly refurbished office space, the building, which has been renamed Arca, will provide a range of on-site tenant amenities including a large roof terrace, meeting rooms, cycle storage, shower and changing facilities, secure lockers and car parking. The double-height reception has also been remodelled to include a tenant and visitor lounge, along with collaborative workspace.Eos Interiors has been awarded the multimillion-pound fit-out contract. The Birmingham-based company specialises in interior office design and has previously worked with Oval Real Estate on One Colmore Square and The Bond, Digbeth.Will Parry, head of regional investment at Oval Real Estate, said: “Oval acquired the property in 2022 with a view to repositioning the building in the market.
