Regeneration site earmarked for £260m scheme sold
Land earmarked for a £260m regeneration scheme in Birmingham has been sold to a national property development and investment company.Cole Waterhouse the 3.5-acre site off Upper Trinity Street and Adderley Street in Digbeth for an undisclosed sum, its first acquisition in the city.Bought from five individual land owners, plans are being worked on to create a new cultural, commercial and residential destination with new areas of public open space.Cole Waterhouse is working with Birmingham City Council, neighbouring landowners and planning consultancy Barton Wilmore to bring forward its vision for the site.A formal planning application is expected to be submitted in spring 2020.Cole Waterhouse was represented by Conrad Properties and the vendors were represented by Andell Property.
