Regional expansion for developer as site acquired to build 227 homesHousebuilder Crest Nicholson has revealed it has acquired new land in town of Elland.The acquisition of a 20-acre site in West Yorkshire will be the housebuilder’s biggest community in Yorkshire, and form a key part of its expansion in the region.Delivering 227 new homes to the area, the Elland development will offer a range of one to five-bedroom homes, 20% of which will be affordable.Crest Nicholson says it will also deliver upgraded open space, recreational areas and new footpath links as part of the proposals.The site is located close to the proposed new rail station for Elland.Building work is anticipated to start in late 2024, with first residents expected in the summer of 2025.Guy Evans, managing director at Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, said: “We are pleased to announce our newest and largest site acquisition in Yorkshire, continuing our mission to deliver high-quality homes in Yorkshire.“With work anticipated to start late 2024, the development will have a strong, positive effect on the wider Elland community, providing new jobs, infrastructure and most importantly, much needed high quality homes for local people.”
