The current contract for Repair and Maintenance Services of Electrical Machinery, Apparatus and Associated Equipment in Plymouth is projected to end on 15/11/2016 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Repair and Maintenance Services of Electrical Machinery, Apparatus and Associated Equipment in Plymouth included the carrying out the Electrical Refurbishment of Plymouth Community Homes Housing Stock and the Installations of Hard Wired Smoke Detectors through out the city. The works will involve. The testing of the electrical installation of PCH housing stock tocomply with BS7671 17th edition of the Electrical wiring regulations on aten year cycle. 10 % of the housing stock is to be tested annually. The refurbishment will ensure that all properties comply with the 17thEdition of the Electrical Wiring Regulation and any revisions or any newregulations through out the duration of the contract. Installation of hard wired smoke detectors in properties are determinedby the needs of the tenant and shall comply to BS 5839 part 6.
