Residential plan for former business park
A 2.8-acre business park, whose final tenant moved out a year ago, could become housing under new plans by Swansea Council.The former Gorseinon Business Park has four light industrial units which date back about 50 years.It is classed as a brownfield site, suitable for development, and is designated for housing on the forthcoming Swansea local development plan, which is due to be published this year.The council has undertaken detailed site investigations and has commissioned architecture firm Gaunt Francis to produce a feasibility plan for a residential scheme on the site. The firm has produced an initial plan for how a layout could look with 36 homes ranging from two-bed apartments to four-bed detached properties.
