Restaurant planned for former Liverpool Boots store
Plans to convert a former Boots store, in a listed building in Liverpool, into a restaurant have been submitted.Mr I Shah from Zeus Taverna is behind plans to change the use of 44 Castle Street into a “luxury” restaurant and bar.Previously housing a Boots, the site has been vacant since its closure last year.Documents submitted with the proposal said that the ground floor will be refurbished with storage and toilet facilities created in the basement. It added that the build works will be done in a “sympathetic manner and will be set back so as to not alter the urban grain and enclosure of Castle Street”.A change of use application has been lodged alongside a listed building application, which Liverpool City Council will review in due course.
