Rowley Regis apartment building set to advance
An application proposing the construction of an apartment building on the site of a former council care home in Rowley Regis looks set to advance.Black Country Housing Group has brought forward plans to redevelop the site of Regis Lodge on George Avenue.The company is seeking the go-ahead to demolish the existing building to make way for a five-storey apartment complex for social rented housing.The facility would provide 42 one- and two-bed apartments, along with parking for 33 vehicles.Plans will be reviewed by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council’s planning committee on 19 January.Approval has been recommended.
