Scape Homes unveils plans for Stonehaven care home
A modern care home offering residents a rooftop garden, gym and cinema could be built on empty land in Stonehaven under newly unveiled proposals.Scape Homes is preparing to submit plans to Aberdeenshire Council by the end of the month for a long-vacant site bound by Wallace Wynd and Cowgate.Working with planning consultant Scott Hobbs Planning and architect Yeoman McAllister, Scape wants to deliver an L-shaped building with 59 beds on the first three levels and a roof garden and communal area on the top level. Leisure areas could include a bar for residents, a gym to help them remain active, a cinema and a private dining room.A consultation website explains that the proposed design has been carefully considered to respect the height of neighbouring buildings.A planning application is expected by the end of the month.
