Shropshire housing scheme proposed

A new housing development has been proposed on agricultural land in Shropshire aiming to provide a new “community hub”.Trustees of the Lymore Estate is seeking the go-ahead for a hybrid application from Shropshire Council to build 40 residential properties on land to the south of Chirbury.The approximately five-acre application site is currently in use as farmland, with a range of agricultural buildings at the far western end to be demolished to make way for the scheme.The first phase of the scheme, which has been submitted in full, involves the construction of 13 homes, which are all allocated as affordable housing. The second phase and outline element of the application consists of 27 properties, 22 for the open market and five as affordable housing.Each phase comprises a mixture of two-bed bungalows and two, three and four-bed detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.All of the homes have private parking and useable amenity/garden space.
