Silverstone appointed as construction work begins on housing scheme
Newcastle-based Silverstone Building Consultancy has been appointed as project monitor on a £16m housing scheme being joint-developed by Tolent and Stella Property Investments in Sedgefield, County Durham.Hardwick Grange, which is located off Salters Lane, will provide 100 new homes on the site of the former Sedgefield Community Hospital.Acting on behalf of the site owners, Stella Property Investments, Silverstone will undertake a due diligence review of the development and conduct ongoing monthly inspections throughout the contract.Stella Property Investments has entered into a joint venture agreement with housebuilder, Tolent Homes, which is building the new homes. Formal planning permission was approved by Durham County Council in May 2018 and work has now started at the site.
