Site acquisition to deliver nearly 150 homes
Mixed-tenure home provider, Vistry Group, has acquired a site in Rotherham from Harworth Group which will deliver 149 new homes.The land has detailed planning consent and is in Waverley, one of the largest mixed use regeneration schemes in Yorkshire.Vistry expects to provide 50 per cent of the site in affordable tenures. Work is expected to begin this year with an estimated completion by December 2027.Harworth Group is leading the delivery of Waverley, which once complete will provide more than 3,000 new homes, an Advanced Manufacturing Park and a mix of community uses including a new school, neighbourhood centre and 300 acres of lakes and green spaces.Andrew Poyner, managing director of Vistry West Yorkshire, said: “We’ve worked closely with Harworth Group to understand their vision for Waverley, which is one of the UK’s most ambitious brownfield regeneration projects.“We’re happy to be contributing to the overall vision for the site and we will be working in partnership with an affordable housing partner in due course.”
