Site earmarked for commercial development
A site in Derby has been earmarked for a commercial development aiming to provide a range of retail and leisure uses.Connect Derby Properties Ltd has lodged plans for the partial demolition of the former Mill Hill Corner Furniture Shop at 90 Normanton Road to make way for a new three-storey structure,The new building will be utilised for retail and leisure purposes within use class E, comprising a furniture shop, food supermarket, including café and bakery, retail unit, restaurant and a soft play centre.The project will result in a total floorspace of approximately 44,000 sq ft, a net increase of about 8,400 sq ft.
