Site earmarked for more than 70 homes to be sold
A site in Leicestershire earmarked for more than 70 homes is to be put up for sale.Harborough District Council’s cabinet has agreed that the former allotment site at De Verdon Road in Lutterworth should be sold.The authority said it is refocusing its priorities in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and agreed not to pursue the proposed housing project itself.Councillors agreed that the land would be sold on the open market once a decision on planning consent for the housing development is made.The cabinet also agreed the council would undertake the archaeology works at the site if planning consent is granted.
