Snooker hall redevelopment plan set for approval
Proposals to create 18 new homes on the site of the former Rileys snooker hall in Walthamstow are set for approval.Waltham Forest council’s planning committee has been advised to grant planning permission for the scheme at a meeting next Tuesday (June 7).Plans will see the existing two-storey building at the site, in Hoe Street, demolished and replaced by a five-storey block housing apartments.The scheme will not offer provision for affordable housing. A council report into the application concluded it was not viable for part of the development to be designated affordable.
