Solar farm earmarked for agricultural land
Agricultural land in Nottinghamshire has been earmarked for a solar farm which has the potential to power thousands of homes.Renewable Energy Systems has lodged plans for a 49.9MW solar farm on land south of Gotham.The scheme comprises the construction of PV panels mounted on metal frames, new access tracks, underground cabling, perimeter fencing with CCTV cameras and access gates, temporary construction compounds and all ancillary grid infrastructure.It has the potential to meet the energy needs of approximately 15,200 homes.
