The service must offer a key fit to the trusts overall aims and objectives, which include high quality care and communication to patients, combined with excellent value for money, measurable and sustained performance, reflecting the NHS’ ambitions to support a low carbon economy. The Provider is expected to have a proven track record in managed services of this nature and thus within its organisation or broader contracting arrangements have the capability to provide both a fully managed service and patient facing provision. The Provider must also have the direct or contracted capability for the provision of vehicles, drivers and fully trained support to provide the patient facing service with United Kingdom wide geographic coverage.
