Student accommodation plans for Glasgow school win approval
A project to transform a former school in Glasgow’s West End into student accommodation has been given the green light.Under plans designed by IDP Partnership on behalf of Urban Pulse, the building at 333 Woodlands Road will become 71 separate flats for those in full time education at one the city’s universities.The property has been used as the headquarters for the Scottish Trades Union Congress (STUC) with The Stand Comedy Club occupying in the basementThe planning consent allows for the addition of a rooftop extension along with landscaping and landscape improvements. The Stand Comedy Club will be unaffected.On-site facilities will include a cinema room, lounge, study and laundry.
