Swansea factory bought for £1.5m
The leasehold for a factory in the Swansea Vale once destroyed by fire has been sold for almost £1.5m.The 47,500 sq ft former Pure Wafer site, which sits four miles out of the city, was sold to Western Power and Distribution (South Wales) by a private investor.The former silicon wafer factory closed in 2015 after suffering extensive fire damage, before being sold to new owners in March 2016.The building on the 4.88 acre site at Millbrook Drive was then refurbished in order to meet new expectations on health, safety and operational standards.JLL acted for Western Power Distribution, the electricity distribution and network operator.
