Swansea site lined up for Ninja Warrior attraction
Plans have been unveiled seeking permission to develop a site for the Ninja Warrior leisure activity brand in Swansea.In a proposal lodged by CDN Planning on behalf of the applicant, approval is sought to change the use of a vacant retail unit in Parc Tawe to enable its utilisation for an indoor Ninja Warrior site. A mezzanine first floor would also be created.Inspired by the Ninja Warrior UK television show, the 20,000 sq ft unit will provide supervised activity and fitness facilities suitable for a range of ages and abilities.The majority of the ground floor will be used as the open activity area, while the space below the mezzanine will house the plant rooms, staff rooms, toilets, shop and arcade, plus a soft play area.The mezzanine floor will provide a cafeteria and kitchen plus five private party rooms.The applicant is a Ninja Warrior franchisee which already has operations in Southampton and Sheffield.About 40 jobs would be created by the proposal.
