Taylor Wimpey acquires land to deliver 121 homes in Moodiesburn
Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has now acquired land to deliver 121 new homes in Moodiesburn having received planning consent for the development earlier this year.The development forms a key part of the wider development of the former Stoneyetts Hospital site where detailed planning consent for the development masterplan is already place.Located off Gartferry Road, Taylor Wimpey West Scotland’s Stoneyetts View will provide 121 new homes in a mix of two and three-bedroom terrace and semi-detached, as well as four-bedroom detached homes to appeal to a wide range of potential buyers. The development has also been designed to create a sense of place and maximises the latest Scottish Government Planning Policy for Designing Streets.Stoneyetts View will also benefit from the delivery of key infrastructure as part of the masterplan vision for the former hospital site such as new roads, as well as the tranquillity of the existing woodland within the site which will be retained and enhanced with new woodland paths to link to the existing countryside footpath network adjacent to the site.As part of an existing Section 75 legal agreement with North Lanarkshire Council, the development will also provide financial contributions towards affordable housing, off-site play provision and education.
