TCH partners on modular Kent development
Town & Country Housing (TCH) has partnered with Legal & General Modular Homes on the acquisition of a nine-acre plot in Littlestone, Kent, for the development of 80 affordable properties. TLT advised on the deal.The site includes open space, wetland and some self-build plots, enabling individuals to build their own home.Legal & General’s modular housing factory in Yorkshire is one of the largest in the UK, with capacity to produce 3,000 properties annually. It also employs 500 people and operates an academy for apprentices.TLT brought together experts in real estate, banking, construction and planning to complete the deal, advising TCH on the structure of the deal, the land acquisition and a modular build, and negotiating the build contract and planning agreement.Partner and modular specialist Sarah Hale led the deal, alongside solicitor Beth Kingsley Ross, legal director Fergus Charlton, partner Jahanara Hussain and associate Tom Marshall.
