Thornton Supports Unique Waste Factory Project
Northern Ireland firm Thornton Roofing has helped support a unique recycling project in Surrey. Working alongside Architects WDR & RT Taggart, they completed a waste processing building in Stanwell Moor. A Euroclad Elite 2 acoustic roofing system and Euroclad Elite 55 acoustic wall cladding system were both installed on the project. The revolutionary roofing system designed by Thornton has been built with an insulation gap between the outer and inner lining sheet in order to curtail possible noise emissions. In addition to this, the double skinned walls prevent unwanted noise reverberations in the green belt. The factory is located on a five-hectare site at Oakleaf Farm Recycling, close to residential housing developments, the Staines Reservoirs and Heathrow Airport.
