Thumbs-up for 400-homes bid
The thumbs-up as been given for 400 homes to be constructed in Nottinghamshire. The applicant will now have to wait for the government to decide not to call in the scheme for a review.Applicant William Davis Ltd is behind the bid for land off Shelford Road in Radcliffe-on-Trent. The 48.5-acre site currently comprises agricultural land with farm buildings to the north.The outline application, which was voted on by Rushcliffe Borough Council at a meeting on Thursday 11 October, also includes a primary school and health centre.Council planning officers recommended that committee members refer the application to the National Planning Casework Unit and that, subject to the application not being called in for determination by the secretary of state for communities and local government, the executive manager for communities be authorised to grant planning permission.
