Torquay residential scheme moves forward
Plans for a residential development in Torquay across a number of apartment blocks has advanced.Sanctuary Affordable Housing is behind the proposals, which concern a site on Hatfield Road.It was once part of the former grounds of the early Victorian villa of Hatfield House, which was built in 1845 and demolished in 1963.More recently, it housed 31 affordable apartments and an office building. However, these have now been demolished and the site has been cleared.The application that went before Torbay Council sought consent for a 43-strong affordable rented apartment scheme across six blocks. Thirty-eight car parking spaces are also lined up.Approval was recommended and has now been granted.
