The contract shall entail the development, planning and delivery of Switch and Crossing Track Works. Due to the multi-functional nature of Switch and Crossing Track Works, associated signalling, switch heating and traction power supply works will also be required.Network Rail may wish for the successfull tenderer(s) to form part of an Alliance with suppliers for Switch and Crossing Multi-functional Design. A separateContract Notice has been issued for Switch and Crossing Multi-functional Design which may form part of an Alliance.It should be noted that tenderer(s) should be capable of delivering simple associated Plain Line Works as required on a project by project basis, however, this contract will not be the prime mechanism for delivering Plain Line Works. A separate Contract Notice has been issued for the delivery of Plain Line Works.
