The current contract for Transport services (excl. Waste transport) in Liverpool is projected to end on 27/2/2018 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Transport services (excl. Waste transport) in Liverpool included a Haulage Provider(s) to deliver goods from Liverpool to multiple locations across the UK and vice versa.Peel Ports operations have increased significantly over the last few years and we are now looking for 1 or more service providers to help deliver goods to our customers at the right time, quality, time and cost.The goods being delivered fall under 3 categories:i. Steel bars and wired coils;ii. Bulk grain, wood pettes and sand;iii. Containers food, pharmaceutical goods etc.Potential Service providers do not need to provide all categorise to all UK locations as contracts will be awarded on a route by route vasis.Tenders will be issued for the following lots:Lot 1 Transportation of Goods as per category list,Lot 2 Management of transportation services (booking process, tracking etc.).Peel Ports are looking to establish relationships with companies that have the relevant compliance with British Standard (or equivalent European Standards) and a proven track record for supply and management of transportation services into this market.Peel Ports reserves the right to award 1 or more framework agreements/under each lot and to combine both lots into a single agreement depending on responses received to this notice.
