Trio of contract wins for Henry Boot Construction
Sheffield-headquartered contractor Henry Boot Construction has secured three new projects at several locations across the UK worth £20m.Starting in East Yorkshire, site teams will work on a £9m project to construct the University of Hull Sports Development phase two which will commence this month.Representing phase two of the university’s £16m total investment to enhance sports facilities at its Cottingham Road campus, the works comprise the design, construction and management of a new 12 court sports hall, with subsequent refurbishment and reconfiguration of the existing grade II-listed sports centre and squash courts.The second project is a £6m contract to transform the historic St George’s Concert Hall in Bradford, which first opened its doors in 1853 and is one of the oldest concert halls still in use in the UK.A third contract to be awarded is a £5m design and construction project to create a National Centre in Combustion and Aerothermal Technology at Loughborough University.
