However training requirements are spread throughout the whole county and Service Providers are expected to deliver in any council premises, or its customer’s settings, within the boundaries of West Sussex.

Duration in years: 7
Justification for a framework agreement, the duration of which exceeds four years: The agreement is for an initial contract period of 3 years with options to extend, subject to organisational need, budget availability and contract performance, for a further 4 years to a maximum contraact period of 7 years. This is a Part B service as defined by the Public Contract Regulations 2006 and therefore the maximum 4 year period for a framework agreement does not apply.

Short description of the contract or purchase(s): To create an approved Framework of external training providers to assist with the delivery of courses to its customers across West Sussex. Customers include:
all WSCC staff, including integrated staff;
Council and commissioned children and family centres;
Private, Voluntary and Independent (“PVI”) adults and children’s social care sector;
PVI early years childcare providers, including day nurseries, preschools,childminders and out of school settings; and independent and maintained schools, nursery schools and classes.
