Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The University is going through a period of major change and enhancement as it delivers against the University Strategic Plan 2011-2015. An ambitious programme of work is underway, including curriculum reform and many other initiatives including a major redevelopment of the University Library.
Key supporting activities within the ICT function also include the implementation of the Information Systems and Technology Transformation Road Map, which will include the evolution and development of the key platforms that make up the portfolio of information systems, technology and services.
This implementation will place significant resource demands on staff across the University as we seek to build project teams to manage the delivery, implementation and transition of key projects and to back fill and front fill business as usual roles, where necessary. It is proposed that these needs and where appropriate the needs of other key business projects are addressed through the appointment of a selected service delivery partner.
