PRONI own the intellectual property rights (IPR) of PCP. It exports data to PRONI’s on-site public catalogue (CALM) and on-line catalogue (eCatalogue) In April 2005 PRONI built a Digital Repository to enable it to ingest, preserve and make available digital records. PCP receives data for the digital repository, enabling staff and the public to access digital records. In June 2015 PRONI refreshed the PCP system. The new system provides a technology upgrade of the software, updating it from its original MS Access format to a Microsoft. Net platform. It also simplifies the current complex database structure, reducing the table count from approximately 150 down to 50. An extensive exercise has also been completed to identify enhancements and further functionality likely to be required to transform working procedures within the next 3 years. PRONI wishes to procure a contract to supplement the in-house team for the maintenance, support and potential future development of PCP. The scope of the proposed project is for a supplier to undertake a Maintenance and support of PRONI’s Master Catalogue Plus System (PCP) and provide a framework for potential future development of the system in collaboration with, and under the direction of PRONI’s IT staff.
