Translink, comprising Ulsterbus Limited and Citybus Limited, provide all public transport bus services in Northern Ireland and also operate into RoI, GB and Europe. The fleet currently totals c. 1284 vehicles. Services include stage carriage, school transport, interurban express, city services and tours. There is a unionised environment operating in 26 main depots throughout Northern Ireland ranging in size from 1 staff to 264 staff with a central maintenance facility in Belfast with 106 staff. Main administrative offices are also in Belfast. NI Railways currently operates 43 local trains with 913 operating staff providing services on four main routes from Londonderry, Larne, Bangor and Newry terminating in central Belfast, along with a cross border service to Dublin in conjunction with Irish Rail. 239 NI Railways staff undertake fleet maintenance in two locations. Current issue cycle frequencies are 12 months for corporate footwear.
