Birmingham City Council acting as the Licensing Section wishes to appoint a number of Vehicle Testing Stations within the Birmingham boundaries to undertake MOT testing and re-tests as specified by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and appropriate legislation. In addition, the successful Vehicle Testing Stations will be required to undertake a supplementary test which ensures licensed vehicles meet the Council’s standards. The successful Vehicle Testing Stations will be undertaking tests on behalf of the Council; therefore the Council expects high standards of service and rigorous compliance to the testing standards.
The Contract duration will be for 3 years with an option to extend for a further 12 months. The Council will appoint a minimum number of six providers of Vehicle Testing Stations to this agreement that adequately provide sufficient coverage in the Birmingham area and to provide sufficient capacity for the number of tests required.
