Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Repair, maintenance and associated services related to marine and other equipment. Marine equipment. Design support services. Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), Maritime Platform System (MPS), Maritime Equipment Systems (MES) has a requirement for the future supply of Spares, Repair, Post Design and Technical Support for Small Vessel Main Propulsion Gearboxes and Associated Equipment.
Contract requirements may include but not be limited to the following fields in which the candidates will be required to demonstrate sufficient capability, capacity and proficiency:
Through Life Management:
– Project Management
– Configuration management
– Obsolescence management
– Risk and opportunity management
Supply:
– Supply of main equipment
– Supply of equipment spares
Repair:
– Repair of equipment and components
– Refurbishment of equipment and components
Post Design and Technical Support:
– Post Design Services
– Technical Support
The Contract will contain lists of items that shall require pricing during the competitive tender process, which may be subject to a reverse auction.
Suppliers wishing to express an interest in this requirement are required to:
Submit a copy of their BS EN ISO 9001:2008 3rd Party Certification accredited/recognised by UKAS, with an appropriate scope to meet the requirement. In the event that no ISO certification is held, the Company must be able to demonstrate that they operate and maintain a business/quality management system acceptable to the Department within that same scope.
Confirm that they are willing or able to trade electronically using the Purchase to Payment (P2P) business process.
Companies who submit an Expression of Interest may be required to complete and submit a Pre-Qualification Questionnaire to confirm their suitability to be included in the tender panel for this requirement. The Authority’s decision in this matter will be final.
