United Kingdom-Bristol: Training simulators – Framework Lead
The current contract for Training simulators – Framework Lead is projected to end on 18-DEC-22 and may be available for retender. SMERAS Training Services.
Training simulators. The Maritime Training Acquisition Organisation (MTAO) has a requirement for the development, design and provision of a SMERAS training system for the Royal Navy. The building housing the training system will be procured under a separate contract under the DIO (Defence Infrastructure Organisation) Next Generation Estates Contracts Framework (NGEC). The system shall be able to train individuals and teams in the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to prepare them to undertake any of the escape, rescue, abandonment and survival activities from a disabled submarine. The training solution is to be fully supported by appropriate courseware and instructor guides.
The scope of this contract will include:
– design and provision of new training hardware/software and lesson design in consultation with Subject Matter Experts,
– classroom design, provision of furniture and classroom conversion/fitting out,
– interface with the chosen building contractor to enable training delivery on completion of the building works,
– training design for experiential training,
– on-site support and management of the training facility.
