The Forest Service is an Executive Agency within the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and its aim is to contribute to the economic development of the entire forestry sector in Northern Ireland, whilst at the same time promoting the sustainable management of forests for multiple uses and conserving and enhancing the rural environment. Forest Service invites offers from competent contractors to carry out various services across Forest Service sites in Northern Ireland. The services required are divided into six (6) Lots as follows: Lot 1 – Chemical Application Lot 2 – Measurement Plots Lot 3 – Brashing of Inspection Racks Lot 4 – Boundary Maintenance Lot 5 – Hand Weeding of Competing Vegetation Lot 6 – Removal of Tree Shelters and Metal Rods Within each Lot, there are three (3) county groupings: (a) Antrim/Derry; (b) Down/Armagh; and (c) Fermanagh/Tyrone. Tenderers are invited to submit bids for 1 or more (any number) of the eighteen (18) Lot/s.
