United Kingdom-Kingston upon Thames: SSC RP Installation of Average Speed Safety Camera Systems – C233 Charlton Road and A24 Ewell Bypass – Recurrent Lead

The current contract for SSC RP Installation of Average Speed Safety Camera Systems – C233 Charlton Road and A24 Ewell Bypass – Recurrent Lead is projected to end on 01-JUL-19 and may be available for retender. The objective of this project is to replace existing wet film safety camera technology with a digital average speed enforcement system, in order to enforce the speed limit on the C233 Charlton Road and A24 Ewell Bypass. These sites has been determined by the Drive Smart Partnership (Surrey County Council Road Safety and Active Travel Team and Surrey Police) as a high priority for upgrade, particularly following a recent collision that resulted in a fatality at the Charlton Road site. The cameras will be serviced and calibrated as part of a “pay as you go” contract that falls outside of this procurement exercise.
