The current contract for Supply services of personnel including temporary staff – Framework Lead is projected to end on 07-FEB-20 and may be available for retender. Framework agreement for temporary staff.
1. Background information on The University of Manchester.
The University of Manchester, in its present form, was created in 2004 by the amalgamation of the Victoria University of Manchester and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST). After 100 hundred years of working closely together both institutions agreed to form a single university, and on 22.10.2004 they officially combined to form the largest single-site university in the UK.

2. Background information on Project.
This tender is broken down into 2 x Lots:
Lot 1 – Establish Testing Function (see Part C)
Lot 2 – Establish Third Party Partnership (see Part D)

3. Project Overview.
The University campus is the largest single site higher education precinct in the UK. As a consequence it has a large IT infrastructure to support a student population of around 40 000 alongside a staff of nearly 11 000.
This large, diverse community requires a sound infrastructure and equipment to enable it to carry out research, teaching and administration including email, printing, Internet access, and specialist software on a variety of hardware. In addition to a large number of staff desktop machines, both staff and students are able to access almost 3 000 PCs in more than 20 clusters across the campus, some of which operate 24/7.
