Short description of the contract or purchase(s): The Council is seeking to appoint a partner or partners to carry water hygiene services to Newcastle City Council (NCC) public buildings in accordance with ‘The Control of Legionella Bacteria in Water Systems’ L8 Approved Code of Practice 2013 and HSG274 Part2. The control of legionella bacteria in hot and cold water systems or the latest legislation and regulations set down in law.
The successful framework partner(s) must be able to provide as a minimum:-
– Lot 1 – Monitoring services (including monthly temperatures, 1/4ly showers, annual overview and service TMVs annually etc.),
– Lot 2 – Remedial works,
– Lot 3 – Water risk assessments to BS8580:2010,
– Legionella Training (awareness seminar free of charge 1/2 day minimum annually as required by the NCC).
