The current contract for Health and social work services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 09-FEB-22 and may be available for retender. Framework Agreement for Home Care Services.
This is a framework for the provision of home care services mainly for adults and older people but includes lots for the provision of services for children and also for care services in extra care housing schemes.
The framework is for 4 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.
The procurement will be run as a single-stage process with an option to negotiate with providers in each lot to ensure that capacity and geographical coverage can be achieved. The framework will include an option to reopen the opportunity to the market for a particular lot or location, if required to ensure capacity to meet demand.
Providers will be selected for the 3 Lots set out in Annex B.
All the providers selected for Lot 1 will be awarded a cost and volume contract for a minimum level of new business at the point the framework commences (minimum volume call off) with services starting from 1.5.2016.
The subject matter of this procurement process relates to the delivery of services which are listed to in Schedule 3 to the regulations. As such the full regime set out in the regulations will not apply to the award of the framework contracts. Consequently, the procurement process adopted by the Commissioners has been developed in accordance with Regulation 76 of the regulations and in particular in accordance with the fundamental public procurement principles of transparency and equal treatment. For the avoidance of doubt this means that the Commissioners have not adopted the open procedure (as such term is defined in the regulations) for the undertaking of this procurement process. The fact that in this Contract Notice at Section IV.1) the field/box relating to type of procedure may default to the term ‘Open’ does not mean that this procedure is being followed by the Commissioners.
