The current contract for Refuse and waste related services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 27-JUL-20 and may be available for retender. Treatment of Organic Waste.
Treatment of Organic Waste.
A renewal framework for the provision of services for the treatment and processing of organic waste. The organic waste streams are food waste, garden waste and co-mingled food and garden waste.
Service providers are required to receive organic waste, treat, reprocess and recycle it.
There shall be 2 service models available for use by the councils as follows:
Model A – Where councils deliver materials to the Service Provider’s nominated facilities for treatment.
Model B – Where councils deliver materials to its (Council) own, the Service Provider’s, and/or a third party’s Reception Point where it shall be collected by the Service Provider(s) for onward haulage for treatment at the Service Provider’s Treatment Facility.
