Short description of the contract or purchase(s):: Anglian Water is looking to create a framework of providers who can provide a range of technical and Health and Safety training courses, many of which are bespoke to the water industry. Anglian Water are looking to work with providers who are committed to building a culture of excellence and the highest standards. There are in the region of 50 different courses, which include, but are not limited to, confined spaces, working at heights, first aid, electrical safety, mechanical lifting, operational manual handling, and NRSWA. Courses will be where possible divided into lots, providers are invited to bid for as many lots that they are able to provide.
There are opportunities of innovation and collaboration within the delivery, including the prospect to exploit and expand IT opportunities; providers will be expected to highlight such areas of added value, and cost savings wherever possible. Providers must be flexible in their approach to delivery and be able to adapt training, working with Anglian Water to offer bespoke training when required.
It is expected that training will be conducted at both Anglian Water sites, as well as the successful providers sites, or alternatively through the use of third party resources as and when required.
The successful providers should have a proven ability to train to agreed standards and demonstrate a clear assessment strategy, supporting competence and efficiency. The assessment strategy will be as important as the course content, successful providers must be able to provide outstanding training and development to Anglian Water employees which ensure they secure and retain the required technical skills. Proposals will be assessed based on quality of training in terms of delivery competence, and proficient employees.
