Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Transport and Vehicle Maintenance Services is responsible for the sourcing, supply and maintenance of a wide range of vehicles, plant and equipment for various departments within the Council. The Council is looking to appoint one or more suppliers to the framework agreement.
The fleet currently comprises of approximately 31 vehicles with various manufacturers covering the majority of the vehicle fleet.
Transport and Vehicle Maintenance Services are an important link in the delivery of front line services to the public of Craven District Council through:
– Sourcing vehicles that are fit for purpose.
– Maintaining vehicles and light plant and equipment via scheduled maintenance plans to ensure road-worthiness and compliance.
– As a point of knowledge and expertise on issues involving transport and fleet.
