The current contract for Tyres for heavy/light-duty vehicles – Framework Lead is projected to end on 24-NOV-19 and may be available for retender. Tender for the Supply of Tyres and On Site Fitting Service.
St. Helens Council’s Transport Department is based at Hardshaw Brook Depot, Parr Street, St Helens, WA9 1JR, and has a requirement for the supply and fitting of tyres to its commercial vehicles for a period of four years. Our contract requires that the successful provider operates within an 8 mile radius of WA9 1JR The current fleet is in the region of 180 registered vehicles and plant. In the main these vehicles operate within the borough of St Helens although, occasional journeys are completed beyond these boundaries. A rolling 3, 5 & 7 year renewal programme is in operation. The normal working hours for the fleet is Monday to Friday 6:30 to 20:00 & Saturday 7:30-12:30 nevertheless due to the diverse nature of the services provided the successful contractor will be expected to provide cover on a 24 hour 365-day basis Tyres for passenger cars and light trucks must comply with European Regulation (EC) No. 1222/2009.
