United Kingdom-Wolverhampton: Computer equipment and supplies – Framework Lead
The current contract for Computer equipment and supplies – Framework Lead is projected to end on 17-NOV-20 and may be available for retender. ITT for the Provision of Storage, Virtualization and Backup Environment.
The University of Wolverhampton is seeking to establish a contract for the supply of Storage, Virtualization and Backup Environment.
The University has approved a significant change in strategic transformation under a Digital Campus programme. Essential to this is a robust IT infrastructure including a storage environment, virtualization platform and a comprehensive backup environment. The University envisages moving from traditional on premises IT to a hybrid delivery model.
The most immediate requirement is the replacement of the storage platform, virtualisation layer and the backup environment. In addition, there is an essential need to document a forward looking technical architecture for the storage and virtualization environment. Please see ‘Schedule 1’ for further details.
It is envisaged that this Contract will be let for a period of 5 years (with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties). The Contract is expected to commence on 19.11.2015.
The Qualification section will be assessed on a pass/fail basis in accordance with the standard qualification questions implemented by the Crown Commercial Services (CCS)/Cabinet Office.
The requirements here include:
– The successful Supplier must have a minimum of 5 000 000 GBP Public Liability Insurance,
– The successful Supplier must have a minimum of 10 000 000 GBP Employers Indemnity Insurance,
– The Tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of 2 000 000 GBP a debt: equity ratio of <2.
Additional Qualification elements are as follows:
– The supplier must confirm the solution includes 5-years support and warranty detailed into the following subsections as a minimum: Storage, Virtualization and Backup.
