‘Shared Lives’ is non-residential / nursing care, delivered in the community, sharing the home of a ‘Shared Lives’ Carer.
Shared Lives Schemes are now covered by the Care and Support (Ordinary Residence) (Specified Accommodation) Regulations 2014 which replaced the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)
Providers are required to comply with the requirements and specific additional prompts that relate to Shared Lives schemes as prescribed by the Care Quality Commission under their Fundamental Standards.
