The University plans to establish a Framework Agreement made up of three contractors for the Major Construction Works Framework Agreement, and directly award a contract for the design and construction of a new student residence and mixed use campus: ‘University Court’.
University Court will be a mixed use development comprising of 1 500 student unit accommodation units including 10 ‘Y’ towers and townhouses as well as a student hub, lecturing and academic facilities at Oldbury Road, Worcester. It is presently proposed that the Framework will support the design and build of University Court which the University proposes will be constructed in two Project Phases. The University is also considering extending the scope of this framework to cover design and construction of the University’s proposed new Severn Campus (it may or may not form part of the framework) and other future capital development projects above 5 000 000 GBP.
